G Gathering Southside Lions plant a ginkgo tree

Southside Lions plant a ginkgo tree

The International President of Lions Clubs Eberhard Wirfs of Germany chose his theme for this year Move to Grow with the ginkgo tree and leaf as the symbol, based on the belief that Lions need momentum, or movement, to grow and progress. Nothing that remains motionless moves forwardm, and progress grows from purposeful movement. In concert with other Lions clubs around the world, Southside Lions recently planted a ginkgo tree on the grounds of the Indian River Library on Providence Road.
